Prestigious All-star Nomination for Tyrone star

Despite Tyrone's indifferent form this season, one of their players assured performances has been rewarded with an Allstar nomination, with Carrickmore defender Connie Fox making the shortlist for the prize
Fox will hope to emulate the achievements of clubmate Conor Gormley of being recognised on the national stage, but she faces fierce competition for a place in the final team selection as her opponents for a half back slot are Briege Corkery (Cork), Aoibheann Daly (Galway), Bronagh O'Donnell (Armagh), Emer Flaherty (Galway), Gemma Fay (Dublin), Claire O'Hara (Mayo), Ciara Walsh (Cork) and Mary O'Donnell (Waterford).
Fox is one of only six Ulster nominees, with Michaela Downey (Down), Christina Reilly (Monaghan), Bronagh O'Donnell (Armagh), Nadine Doherty (Donegal), Caroline O'Hanlon (Armagh) and Caroline Little (Fermanagh).
The winners are due to be announced at the Allstars banquet in November, and all of Tyrone will be keeping their fingers crossed that Fox can take the honour back to the county.
