The final scoreline is by no means a fair reflection of how Fermanagh fought back in the second half, but nothing can be taken from the prowess shown by the Tyrone attack, with no less than seven different players making their mark on the scoreboard. Errigal Ciaran ace Sarah Connolly was the star of the show, weighing in with 3-6 in what was a fine individual display. Aisling O’Kane’s 1-3 return also helped her sides cause, while An Carraig attacking ace Laura Mc Creesh also turned in a fine display as she helped herself to two well taken points. Aodh Ruadh’s Emma Conlon and Kileeshil’s Claire Scullion were the other goalscorers for the Red Hands, who had led comfortably by 4-12 to no score at the interval.
Captain Maeve Cobane turned in a commanding performance in the midfield sector, while Michaela Richie at centre-half back and Laura Mc Gillion at full-back marshalled the defence well, assisted ably by Britta Quinn and Kirsty Mc Veigh to help stifle the Erne attack.
