WELCOME BOOST AHEAD OF LEAGUE OPENER


Just ahead of the Suzuki National League campaign Tyrones senior ladies squad have been boosted by confirmation that Strathroy Fresh Milk will again be supporting their bid for league and championship honours.
It's the third year the family run dairy based in Omagh have thrown their lot behind Tyrone ladies and the deal was confirmed on Tuesday night with Patrick Cunningham of the company officially announcing the continuation of the sponsorship for 2006.
The Strathroy Ireland support was welcomed by new Tyrone chairperson Ann Marie Meenan at the county board meeting on Tuesday at St Endas, she thanked the officers from the county board who had worked with the Cunningham family on the deal and hoped the company and the Tyrone squad would both receive benefits from their partnership.
Mr Cunningham also hoped the partnership would boost both parties and said he was delighted to be associated with Tyrone ladies.
Tyrone manager John McAleer who attended the launch with several players including new captain Maura Kelly also welcomed the support of the dairy who have been producing premium milk products since 1923.

Tyrone open their national league Division one A campaign this Saturday against All Ireland Junior champions Armagh managed by former Tyrone legend Hayley Boyle. Clann NaGael hosts the tie and it's a game John McAleer has targeted as a victory with Dublin up next at Greencastle the following week.
The Tyrone manager is expecting to draft in upwards on six new faces to the starting fifteen for Saturdays opener and overall he is very happy with the 34 named in the squad
"They have all been working hard and some of the new girls have been impressive, it's a big year for us and I want to get the year of with a win." Claimed John who includes Ulster young player of the year Sarah Connolly as well as Briege Daly and Siobhan McGarvey in his new look squad.
Some of the more experienced  heads return again
"Yes Alish Gormley, Ann Dooher, Sinead McLaughlin and Connie Fox will of course be vital components of the squad again, Maura Kelly is captain this term and we are all looking forward to the challenges ahead"
McAleer has a selection headache, he has an abundance of quality players to select from for Saturday and everyone is reporting fit with one or two including coach Ryan Cunningham happy with Dowd cup honours last weekend.its one headache the manager can live with though
