TYRONE LADIES ARE SET FOR CROKER DATE
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association are working tirelessly behind the scenes with the GAA to co-ordinate what would be a fantastic double header in Croke Park on Saturday, August 27.
The GAC confirmed today that the Tyrone Ladies quarter final meeting with Dublin will go ahead at Croke Park this Saturday as a curtain raiser to the mens All Ireland quarter final replay.
Welcoming the news today, Ladies president Gearldine Giles said it was a massive boost for the ladies game with around 80,000 expected in Croke Park for the meeting of the Ulster and Leinster sides.
Throw in time for the ladies tie is now 12.45pm and all ladies clubs in the county should try and make sure they are in the ground to give the girls the support they deserve on this historic occasion.
Tyrone officials were frantically trying to sort out ticket allocations and further details with the GAC and ladies admin staff throughout today (Monday) and Tyrone will get together at training this Tuesday to finally hone their preparations.
